I’m an educator and program designer who helps people learn through making. For more than ten years, I’ve been designing, prototyping, and building hands-on projects that connect ideas to practice. My work spans classroom projects, such as student-built hydraulic presses or interactive recycling bins, as well as larger initiatives including creative youth employment programs, STEM education professional development series, and citywide curricula.
I approach this work collaboratively, partnering with teachers, students, and colleagues to bring ideas to life. This work includes co-designing hands-on projects with teachers, mentoring teams of staff and teens, and building project prototypes while soliciting peer feedback. At every scale, I focus on creating both the projects themselves and the structures that support them, so that making can become a sustainable part of how communities learn.
